SkySnap revolutionizes drone data analysis with advanced 3D visualization and data export features

SkySnap’s new portal functionality allows users to view drone photos and fully interactive 360° panoramas directly on a map. Icons indicating the exact location where the image was taken are now visible both in the traditional 2D view and in an advanced 3D view based on a point cloud. Such a solution revolutionizes field orientation and the visual inspection process, allowing specialists to verify the facts in detail without having to leave the platform. This translates directly into increased work efficiency, reducing the need for site visits and improving communication between the office and the construction site.

The addition of support for 3D vector files in DXF format is another milestone in the platform’s development. Users can now import complex design models and overlay them with drone raid data. The ability to toggle individual layers on and off, as well as to precisely modify the model’s position – by flattening it or moving it by a set height – significantly streamlines the process of verifying that the design is consistent with actual terrain conditions. The process is further enhanced by a new navigation bar that allows for quick filtering and searching of specific vector elements by their layer and attributes, which is crucial when working with complex designs.
The visualization enhancements introduced are complemented by powerful new tools designed to improve data exchange and cross-team collaboration.

The generated link maintains the exact extent of the map and the position and angle of the camera, ensuring that the recipient opens the exact same view of the spatial data that the sender sees. • Maintaining map coverage when switching views: The application automatically maintains the same area of the map when switching between 2D views, 3D views and comparison mode. This eliminates the frustrating need to navigate back to the section of the project of interest and significantly speeds up the process of multi-view data analysis.
• New project sorting logic: Investments and their assigned projects are now sorted by default from newest to oldest. This simple change guarantees immediate access to the most current data, which is crucial in a dynamic construction environment.
• Direct layer management: Users have gained the ability to delete vector layers directly from the main application interface. As part of this change, the previous function in a separate management panel has been disabled, consolidating the interface and centralizing data management in one place. This simplifies and speeds up the organization of map data, allowing users to focus on analysis.
