As part of SkySnap’s Summer Webinar Series, a meeting entitled. “Mission: Profit”, hosted by Paweł Wójcik (SkySnap) and Karol Cheda (UAV Academy). The topic was the development of the drone market in Poland and specific paths for monetizing unmanned technologies.

What did we talk about?

  • Dynamic growth in the number of operators
    Karol Cheda presented data indicating that at the end of June 2025 there were more than 361,000 drone operators registered in Poland, demonstrating the huge interest in the technology.
  • Competence vs. quantity
    Despite the growing number of users, there is a noticeable decline in the quality of competence – due to easy access to equipment and privileges, in the absence of supervision and practice.
  • What is the difference between an operator and a pilot?
    Key definitions related to the regulations and practice of flying BSPs are explained.
  • SkySnap Profit Map
    Pawel Wojcik presented an interactive map showing potential revenue streams from drone use – from agriculture to construction to industry and technical inspection.
  • Marketplace of orders
    Karol Cheda talked about the Order Exchange Platform already in operation, which connects operators with customers in a marketplace model.
  • Monetizing drones
    It emphasized that a drone or credentials alone are not enough – real earnings come from the ability to solve customer problems and provide valuable data.
  • Podcast “Practically about Drones”
    Karol shared the behind-the-scenes of running a podcast that has been educating the market and building awareness about drone technology in Poland.

Conclusions
The webinar showed that the drone market in Poland is growing strongly, but still needs education, professionalization and support in building business models. By sharing experiences and talking together, we can support the development of the entire industry.
