Why take recurring payments?

By offering services in a subscription model, you can:

  • 📅 Plan revenue and build a stable business
  • 📉 Reduce the number of individual transactions and conversations about “price per flight”
  • 🧾 Issue invoices automatically and without errors
  • 💳 Enable customers to pay by card in a few clicks

Stripe – what is it and does it work in Poland?

Stripe is a global online payment processing platform that also operates in Poland. It makes it possible:

  • Accepting payments by credit and debit cards,
  • Recurring billing (e.g., monthly),
  • Automatic sending of invoices and reminders,
  • support for multiple currencies,
  • Integration with your website or sending so-called “invoice payment links”.

Importantly – Stripe supports Polish companies and bank accounts, and the money goes to your account in zlotys (or euros, if you prefer).

How to get started. 5 steps to take card payments

1. create an account with Stripe

Register at: https://dashboard.stripe.com/register

You need:

  • Tax ID number and company name,
  • bank account in Poland,
  • ID card for identity verification.

2. set up a subscription plan

Stripe allows you to create products and cyclical plans. Example:

  • Name: “Heap counting – 2 measurements per month”.
  • Price: 790 PLN / month
  • Period: monthly
  • Payment method: card

3. generate a payment link or integrated form

Stripe allows you to send the client a link, such as:
https://buy.stripe.com/abc123xyz

When the customer clicks:

  • states the card details,
  • approves payment,
  • receives an invoice automatically by e-mail.

4. send invoices automatically

Stripe generates VAT invoices that you can fully customize. The system itself will send the invoice to the customer before the subscription is renewed and remind you to pay.

5. track payments and recover arrears

In the Stripe dashboard, you can see the history of all transactions, statuses (paid, pending, overdue) and you can enable automatic reminders or payment retry (e.g., when a card has expired).
