SUMMER WEBINAR SERIES:

Invitation to the fourth webinar "Mission: Polish Construction" - SkySnap

Mission – Polish Construction. How are new technologies changing Polish construction?

The construction industry in Poland today faces enormous challenges – a shortage of labor, low productivity and a need for modernization. At the same time, it is a sector with enormous potential, where digital technologies, artificial intelligence and drones could play a key role in the coming years. Paweł Wojcik (SkySnap) and Dr. Damian Kazmierczak (Polish Association of Construction Employers) discussed the current situation in the industry and future prospects during the webinar “Mission – Polish Construction”.

Productivity and innovation – a look from the PZPB

Dr. Damian Kazmierczak pointed out that productivity in the European construction industry has remained low for decades and is not growing as in other sectors of the economy. Poland is no exception.

Key findings:

  • Staff shortages do not allow the construction industry to grow solely by hiring more workers.
  • New technologies and innovations are the only real remedy to improve efficiency.
  • AI and digitization are used far less frequently in Poland than in other European countries – creating great potential for development.
  • Innovation leaders are mainly European-owned companies, while state-owned companies and smaller enterprises often lag behind.
  • There is still a lack of systemic state support and technological maturity on the part of many boards.

Development prospects

Although the industry is currently going through a slowdown phase, the medium- and long-term prospects are promising. The largest investments will be made in:

  • Road and rail infrastructure (KPO, CPK, PKP PLK),
  • Energy (transmission networks, nuclear, SMRs),
  • defense,
  • and in the private sector – primarily in Data Centers.

The role of drones in construction – SkySnap’s experience

Pawel Wojcik stressed that drones and geospatial data are now invaluable support at every stage of investment – from design to infrastructure maintenance.

Drone applications include:

  • monitoring the progress of the work,
  • Site inventory and 3D measurements,
  • Health and safety documentation and evidence in case of disputes,
  • facade and roof analyses,
  • Photos and marketing videos to support sales and communications.

In the face of lower demographics and a limited number of professionals, digital technologies are becoming not just a support, but a necessity.

How to win customers in the construction sector?

Pawel Wojcik presented as many as 15 practical methods for drone and surveying companies – from being active on social media, to using industry search engines, to building a portfolio and participating in trade shows. He also stressed that the downturn is the best time to build relationships with the construction industry before the investment boom from 2026.

Applications

The webinar ended with an optimistic message: although the transformation of the construction industry will be slower than in other sectors, innovation and new technologies will find a growing place in it. This is a good time for technology companies to prepare for the coming upturn.

  • How are drones changing property condition management? Diagnostics start with the roof.

Managing a modern building is a constant battle against the passage of time and the destructive influence of nature. Whether you're looking after an office building, an industrial hall or a housing development, the greatest dangers lurk where the eye can't see - in the highest parts of the structure and in hard-to-reach places. The roof, gutters, flashings and facade details are the front line in the clash with rain, frost and UV radiation.

  • Webinar: 23.04 Drones in Real Estate: Roof Inspections

The roof is one of the most expensive parts of a building... especially when problems are noticed too late. Leaks, damage or lingering water often remain invisible without an expensive and risky visual inspection.

What if you could check the condition of the roof quickly, accurately, and without climbing high?

During the webinar, we will show how to use roof inspection drones in practice - not just to take pictures, but to create real-world useful documentation that supports renovation decisions and conversations with contractors.
