About the webinar

In the next meeting of the series Earning with a Drone: Photogrammetry, this time we will show the practical, step-by-step process of preparing and executing a photogrammetric raid with a small drone (the so-called non-professional drone) – from mission planning, through camera settings and flight parameters, to the basic principles of image quality control and data preparation for further processing. You will learn how to obtain useful products (orthophotos, 3D model, point cloud) and how to turn them into solutions that are easy to sell to customers.

For UAV operators, small drone companies, surveyors and teams working in the construction and inspection industry – especially those who want to know if and how a small drone can be used to take a professional raid and process it into photogrammetric format.

What you will learn (selected topics)

  • Mission planning and flight grid (grid) selection to avoid coverage gaps;
  • raid parameters: altitude, GSD and recommended overlap values (e.g., 70-85% depending on the task);
  • Camera settings: focus, exposure, white balance and in-flight histogram control;
  • Launch procedures, mission monitoring and response to changing conditions (wind, light);
  • How to go from raid to data: the most common errors (blurs, too small/large GSD) and how to fix them;
