Drones and geospatial data in the service of water management

As part of the project, SkySnap will provide a comprehensive geodatabase for accurate mapping of terrain infrastructure. Through a combination of orthophotos and laser scanning (LiDAR), it will be possible to:
✅ Accurately determine the technical condition of drainage facilities and assess their functionality.
✅ Identification of key areas in need of modernization, which will allow effective investment planning.
✅ Support anti-drought measures by analyzing the retention capacity and effectiveness of drainage systems.

– The use of modern photogrammetric methods, such as point cloud and orthophotomap, allows to obtain data of unprecedented precision. As a result, Polish Waterways will be able to manage hydrotechnical infrastructure more efficiently and implement solutions to minimize the effects of drought,” emphasizes Łukasz Czerwiński, CEO of SkySnap.

emphasizes Lukasz Czerwinski, Co-founder and CEO of SkySnap.

Advanced technologies for water management

The SkySnap project includes a range of state-of-the-art solutions to support Watershed projects and streamline decision-making processes:
🔹 LiDAR scanning – enables generation of precise point cloud and mapping of terrain topography.
🔹 High-resolution orthophotomap – allows detailed analysis of the condition of reclaimed land.
🔹 GIS geodatabase – integrates data from various sources, providing a comprehensive database of spatial information.

– Thanks to modern GIS methods, including the integration of LiDAR data and orthophotos, it is possible not only to monitor the condition of infrastructure, but also to forecast future needs and risks, such as flooding or water shortages.

adds Pawel Wojcik, SkySnap’s Director of Business Development.

Benefits for water management and the environment

Better planning of hydro projects, based on precise geospatial data.
🔹 Increased water retention and effective drought control through optimization of drainage systems.
🔹 Improve the management of reclaimed land with an up-to-date and comprehensive geodatabase.

– Drones, orthophotos and GIS technologies represent the future of modern water resources management in Poland. We are pleased that as SkySnap we can support Wody Polskie in such an important project.

Tomasz Kozlowski – Co-Founder & CTO concludes.

  • How are drones changing property condition management? Diagnostics start with the roof.

Managing a modern building is a constant battle against the passage of time and the destructive influence of nature. Whether you're looking after an office building, an industrial hall or a housing development, the greatest dangers lurk where the eye can't see - in the highest parts of the structure and in hard-to-reach places. The roof, gutters, flashings and facade details are the front line in the clash with rain, frost and UV radiation.

  • Webinar: 23.04 Drones in Real Estate: Roof Inspections

The roof is one of the most expensive parts of a building... especially when problems are noticed too late. Leaks, damage or lingering water often remain invisible without an expensive and risky visual inspection.

What if you could check the condition of the roof quickly, accurately, and without climbing high?

During the webinar, we will show how to use roof inspection drones in practice - not just to take pictures, but to create real-world useful documentation that supports renovation decisions and conversations with contractors.
