When taking orthophotos from a drone, safety and data protection are key aspects. Before launching an aerial mission, review the area to be photographed and carefully analyze weather conditions. Ideal conditions are cloudless skies and no wind. It is advisable to avoid flying in rain or high winds. Once the data is collected, it should be processed in specialized software that automatically recognizes common points between photos and eliminates perspective distortions. A point cloud is then created to build a three-dimensional terrain model. The next step is to generate a numerical terrain model (NMT) and overlay it with textures from the original photos.
